Multiple Websites for Meta Modern Era
We have a website www.metamodernera.weebly.com for presenting a number of extracts from Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi's book Meta Modern Era. Here we are investigating a style of presentation which could be replicated easily around the world.
Our main site will be large. Let us say, for example, that 20 extracts in 20 languages requires more than 400 web pages. Construction and maintenance of such a site is not easy. First is the question of scale. The site has to be large.
An important issue is that a two dimensional navigation system, with extracts as one dimension and languages as another dimension, is a little complex to develop and maintain using the drag-and-drop website builder from Weebly. There is great scope for making errors, even though what we are doing is simple in concept. Website work would be easier using FTP facilities on a more traditional platform.
Another issue is the website Navigation Language. If a visitor wishes to read translations in Polish or Bulgarian, it is not so likely that they are native English speaking. Links like Select a Translation... or a sub-menu option like About The Book may confuse some visitors. Not many, I suggest, but enough for us to focus on the issue. A Polish visitor might prefer to find 'Select a Translation' written in Polish.
Here is one possibility. For native Bulgarian internet users, for example, there could be a dedicated website of, say, a little over 60 pages.
- The navigation and most of the website shell would be in Bulgarian.
- The Contact page would have details for somebody who is native Bulgarian.
- The website would have a link to the Meta Modern Era Showcase site and
that site could link to the dedicated Bulgarian language site.
- The extracts from Shri Mataji's book would be presented in three styles:
One section would present the extracts in English (x20). Another section would have the extracts in Bulgarian (x20). A third would present the extracts with English and Bulgarian side by side (x20), as can be seen on the Home page here (Slovak language example).
